LPR Associates was established in 2003 to provide bespoke consultancy to the leisure sector. Since this time we have worked with a wide range of clients including VisitBritain, The National Trust, a selection of Destination Management Partnerships, Universities, Social Enterprises, rural activity providers and historic houses, including one featured on Channnel 4's Country House Rescue

Managing Director: Peter Robinson has a background in the public, private and voluntary sectors, and has worked for The National Trust, West Oxfordshire District Council and University of Derby as Tourism Projects Manager, before becoming a Tourism Consultant. Clients in the tourism and events sectors are detailed on the Projects Page. Peter is a Principal Lecturer and Head of Department for Leisure at University of Wolverhampton where he teaches Tourism and Events Management. Peter also manages the Universities commercial arts venue in Wolverhampton - The Arena Theatre. He is also an Examiner and Advisor for The Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management (OTHM) and has recently managed the Regional Network for the 14-19 Travel and Tourism Diploma. Peter has an international publishing profile and has spoken at a number of international conferences about both tourism and events management. Marketing & Events Manager: Lucy Robinson has over 12 years experience in the tourism and events industry, and has worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors with involvement in the management of a large country estate as well as the organisation of a wide variety of events. Lucy is an examiner for OTHM and has developed teaching resources and course materials for a number of modules. Lucy has also been involved in research projects for The Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and looks after marketing and promotions for our event venues. 360 Tourism Consulting: We use a wide range of specialist trainers to meet the needs of our clients. These include colleagues from the 360 Tourism Consulting Group (www.360tourismconsulting.co.uk)The Tourism Society Consultants Group: We also work with other members of The Tourism Society Consultants Group.Event Partners: Although we manage many events in-house, we work closely with other independent suppliers to source equipment, activities and other professional services. Often this means that we are able to source equipment at much lower cost than many of our competitors.

Events and Venues

Our experience covers a breadth of events, which includes Family Fun Days, Classical Proms with Fireworks, Conferences, Country Fairs and Mountain Biking Competitions. We work with our clients to provide everything from initial advice and guidance through to full event management.We specialise in the provision of advice and guidance for landowners seeking to use events for business development. We also advise individual venue and event managers on all aspects of event planning and management and we are able to design and deliver events on behalf of clients. We are fully insured, all our events comply with or exceed the HSE Event Safety Guide and we have 1st Aid Trained Staff, up to date licensing information and work with local authority Safety Advisory Committees. We can also advise on regulations around planning, signage, promotion and security for your venue, and specialise in event marketing use web 2.0 technologies to enhance the success of your event. Training & Development

We provide high quality training in traditional and online environments. We are able to offer a wide range of services from an organisational training needs analysis to the design and delivery of course materials and the delivery of training, and uniquely, through to a longitudinal assessment of the benefits and impacts that our training has had on your workforce.All our trainers have significant work experience within the tourism, hospitality and event sectors and are fully qualified trainers, teachers or lecturers who have made a commitment to the delivery of innovative and exciting courses using a wide range of interactive teaching materials, videos, podcasts, our own unique workbooks and CDs (provided with most courses) together with their own experiences to bring each course to life.All our existing training courses have been tested with tourism businesses from across the UK. All of the courses have received very positive feedback and have been delivered to a broad range of clients, from individual businesses to local authorities to regional hotel chains.We can deliver courses at times to suit you, including weekends, evenings and 2 hour blocks, as well as traditional full and half-day formats and we can also arrange venues, catering, transport and accommodation, team building activities and residentials.The delivery of our courses includes time for discussions, networking and group activities, and we specialise in taking groups to other businesses for observational training sessions to see how other organisations in the sector work.
